Dates: July 28–30, August 5–7
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM daily
Ages: 6–13
Location: The Artful Nest Studio (Provo, UT)
Cost: $300 (all materials included)
Overview:
This gentle, process-focused camp invites young artists to slow down, tune in, and create from the heart. Through calming projects, guided meditations, and creative exploration, we’ll use art as a tool for mindfulness, emotional expression, and personal growth.
Each day includes a mindful moment, hands-on artmaking, a reflection practice, and a movement or nature-based activity to encourage grounding and emotional regulation.
The final 30 minutes of the last camp day will be a mini art show for families to come see and celebrate all the beautiful work their young artists have created throughout the week.

What We'll Be Doing
In this special 3-day camp, young artists will slow down, tune in, and explore their emotions through creative, mindfulness-based artmaking. Each day includes calming movement or breathwork, hands-on projects, and tools that help kids build emotional awareness, resilience, and confidence.
Daily Themes & Activities
Day 1: Feel It to Heal It
Guided breathing & gentle movement to settle in
Create a personalized Feelings Spinner Wheel to help name emotions
Make a mindful breathing wand using ribbons and beads
Learn simple grounding techniques (breath, senses, body awareness)
Day 2: Meet Your Emotions
Design and build your very own Emotion Character—like an anger monster or a worry creature
Kids will give their character a name, explore when it shows up, and brainstorm what helps calm it down
Practice gentle yoga and movement to release big feelings
Day 3: Create Your Calm
Build your personal Safe Space using mixed media collage or cardboard sculpture
Make a mini mindfulness journal to take home with calming tools, affirmations, and reflection pages
Wrap up with a gratitude circle and a peaceful closing activity
